Health Guarantee
At Premier Mini Highland Cows, the health and wellbeing of our calves is our highest priority. Every calf is raised with hands-on care, proper nutrition, and routine health evaluations to ensure they leave our ranch strong, healthy, and thriving. We stand behind the quality of our animals and want every buyer to feel confident and supported from the moment they choose their calf.
Below is our official Health Guarantee, created to protect both you and your new Mini Highland calf.
Our Health Promise to You
Veterinary Health Check
All calves come with:
A certified veterinary health examination
A signed health certificate (required for transport)
Documentation of vaccinations, worming, and any treatments provided
We never release a calf that shows signs of illness, weakness, or poor condition.
7-Day General Health Guarantee
We guarantee that your calf is healthy at the time of pickup or delivery.
If within 7 days of receiving your calf a licensed veterinarian determines that the calf has a life-threatening illness or congenital health issue that originated before purchase, we will:
Option 1: Provide a replacement calf of equal value when available OR Option 2: Apply a credit toward a future purchase
This guarantee does not cover minor issues such as stress-related diarrhea, temporary appetite changes, or environmental adjustments, as these are common when calves transition to a new home.
Vaccinations & Preventative Care
Each calf is raised with routine preventative care, which may include:
Initial vaccinations appropriate for age
Regular deworming
Hoof and coat checks
Proper mineral and nutritional support
Buyer Responsibilities After Arrival
To keep your calf safe and healthy, we ask that all buyers agree to the following:
1. Veterinary Check Within 72 Hours
We strongly recommend scheduling a wellness visit with your veterinarian within 72 hours of your calf arriving. This helps establish care and ensures a smooth transition.
2. Proper Housing & Nutrition
The buyer must provide:
Clean shelter
Fresh water
A safe, enclosed pasture
Proper feed (we provide a transition guide)
Guarantee is void if the calf is neglected, injured, or exposed to unsafe conditions.
3. Stress Adjustment Care
Mini Highlands, especially young calves, may experience mild stress after transport.
This is normal and not considered a health defect.
Conditions Not Covered
Our health guarantee does not cover:
Illnesses caused by improper care, poor diet, or unsafe handling
Injuries after the calf leaves our possession
Stress-related issues due to transport or environmental changes
Parasites that may naturally occur in pasture-based animals
Breeding capability (as maturity varies by animal and environment)
Lifetime Support Policy
While the written guarantee covers specific health protections, our support lasts a lifetime.
